Our Wood Type has a completely new type of printing surface that will
stand up under long runs. This new finish will print even on the
glossiest of stock. The type high and accuracy of our wood type is
comparable to the best in the world.

It is interesting to note that much of what was once available from the American Wood Type Mfg. Co. can now be found at the American Printing Equipment and Supply Company, 42-25 Ninth ST., Long Island City, New York 11101.
Three different press models were featured in this catalog. Their prices were listed from a low of $75 for a 6x4 tabletop model, to $495 for a 7x11 floor model.
But of course, with the name American Wood Type Mfg. Co., the catalog features several pages of wood type. The type ranges in size from 6-line up to 15-line, and in styles from basic Gothic to Corvinus Skyline, Ultra Bodoni, Playbill, and Cooper Black.
