OK.  What do you get when you pair-up a novice printer with a 5-year old?

This is my contribution to the Westchester Chappel's 2001 recipe book project, "Food is a four-letter word."  The recipe came from my daughter's kindergarden class, and the linocut was inspired by her drawings.

Specs:

The recipe is printed on 80 lb. stock from  Paper Access.

The title is set in wood type from a couple of the fonts I have.  (Now that I look at it, I'm not sure the "G's" and the "S's" match the other letters, and the "C" looks like a mismatch as well.)  The recipe itself is set in Corvinus, a face designed by Imre Reiner for the Bauer Type Foundry in 1934-1935.  The attribution line at the bottom is set in California Old Style --  from M&H Type.  This face (originally named Californian) was designed by Frederic Goudy in 1938 for the University of California.

The linocut is my own work -- styled after some of Sarah's drawings.  (Her people are usually smiling, but the look of frustration seemed appropriate for the recipe.)
